Dr. Shannon Armstrong DVM

Dr. Shannon Armstrong graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010. She moved back to the Winchester area in 2015 after practicing small animal and equine medicine for 5 years in Quebec and Gananoque. She lives in Hallville with her husband John and two stepsons as well as her dog Beans, two cats, horses and goats. Outside of work, she enjoys riding her horses, gardening, cooking and skiing.

Dr. Erin Von Gunten B.Sc, DVM

& Cooper

Dr. Erin Von Gunten graduated in 2016 from the University of Melbourne in Australia. As a Winchester native she is happy to be back in the local community. She enjoys travel, reading and horseback riding. She and her husband Peter live on a hobby farm in Ingleside with their dog, cats, horses and pot-bellied pig Gus.

Dr. Graham Johnson DVM

& Bree

Dr. Graham Johnson is a clinic favourite, having been with us part-time for many years. Outside of work his grand-children keep him busy. Graham is an avid gardener and enjoys eggs from his 4 hens. He and his wife share their home with their dog Zoey. Bree is dearly missed.

Dr. Dana Robertson-Piepers DVM

& Maddie

Dr. Dana Robertson-Piepers graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 with her final clinical year done at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. She has since moved back home to the North Gower area where she lives with her husband Doug and their daughter. They have two dogs Maddie and Bruce, an orange tabby named Fig as well as a plethora of crested geckos. She enjoys reading, gardening, horseback riding and crocheting in her spare time.

Tayler, Office Manager

& Toxie

Tayler has been with the clinic since 2014. She is our office manager and has also been appointed to our bookkeeping team. Outside of work, Tayler and her spouse John run a cash crop operation in Ingleside, where they grow and harvest corn & soybeans. They share their home with a husky and a cat, as well as two horses.

Ashlee, RVT

& Skribbles

Ashlee graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Seneca College in 2019. In Ashlee’s spare time she enjoys reading, working out and spending time with her laying hens, dog Skribbles, and 2 cats Peach and Cashew.

Chelsea, VT

& Gord

Chelsea graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at Algonquin College in Ottawa.  Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family.

Lisa, RVT

& Odin

Lisa graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at St. Lawrence College, Kingston in 2009. Over her years in the industry, Lisa has developed a passion for animal nutrition; this has become a focus in her career. Lisa has two young girls, a very silly dog, and a cat. Outside of time well spent with family, Lisa enjoys playing a variety of sports.

April, RVT

& Marcie

April graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at St. Lawrence College Kingston in 1994. April has a lifelong passion for animals and enjoys all aspects of the veterinary field, but senior pets have a special place in her heart. She resides with her husband, 4 cats, 2 dogs and a bearded dragon, and loves spending time with her family.

Kailey, VT student

& Bear

Kailey started at UCVS as a high school co-op student and she fell in love with working with animals. She is now enrolled (almost done!) at the University of Guelph to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, and possibly a large animal vet. In her spare time she likes fishing, hunting and teaching her lizard tricks.

Stacee, VA

& Becky

Stacee grew up in the Ottawa Valley area.  As a young adult, she knew she had a love for animals and entered the Vet Assistant program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston ON, graduating in 2007.  Stacee is our resident groomer and is excited to share her love of grooming. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family.

Becky is 17 years old and calls our clinic home. You may spot her sleeping in the sun or scavenging for treats.

Diana, VA

& Shyla

Diana graduated from Sheridan College in 2001 where she completed the Veterinary Assistant program. She has been working in the veterinary field for the majority of her working career, minus 2 years where she worked in a pharmacy setting after completing the Pharmacy Assistant program. She moved to the area to escape the city. She enjoys the calm and quiet the country offers. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her German Shepherd.

Jasmine, VA

& Joey

Jasmine graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Algonquin College in 2012. In her spare time, she loves going on adventures with her partner and young twins. She has three cats, Pete, Joey and Binx.

Beckie, VA

& Penne

Beckie has always dreamt of working with animals in a veterinary clinic. Holding two Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Integrated Sciences as well as a Master’s degree in Biology, Beckie found herself drawn back to the world of veterinary medicine in 2023. When not at the clinic, she can be found gardening, bicycling, playing with her three cats, looking after her red eared slider turtle, teaching private music lessons, or running with her dogs.

Ali, Kennel Attendant

& Dallas

Ali joined the staff of UCVS at the end of January 2025. She has three dogs; Dallas, Lilo, and Edward. In her spare time, she enjoys going for long walks and teaching Dallas new tricks.
