Dr. Shannon Armstrong graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010. She moved back to the Winchester area in 2015 after practicing small animal and equine medicine for 5 years in Quebec and Gananoque. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, riding her horse Mo and enjoying the cottage with her dog Tia.
& Cooper
Dr. Erin Von Gunten graduated in 2016 from the University of Melbourne in Australia. As a Winchester native she is happy to be back in the local community. She enjoys travel, reading and horseback riding. She and her husband Peter live on a hobby farm in Chesterville with their dog, cat, horses and pot-bellied pig Gus.
& Milly
Dr. Lisa Carty grew up in Kemptville and graduated in 2015 from the Ontario Veterinary College. Her dog Milly has been by her side while completing two degrees, proving to be an excellent study buddy. She is now joined by fellow terrier mix Bodi and two cats - Tycho and Huxley. In her spare time Lisa loves trying new recipes in the kitchen and pretending to be a pastry chef. She also enjoys spending time in the great outdoors hiking, camping and kayaking.
& Bree
A long-time favourite around the clinic, we are pleased to welcome back part time Dr. Graham Johnson. Outside of work his grand-children keep him busy.
& Molly
Bryanna graduated from the University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus in 2016. Since then she spent a brief time working in Alberta before moving back home to North Stormont. Her dog, Molly, keeps her busy outside of work, and is proving to be a superstar at agility! Bryanna has a special interest in canine behaviour and is now teaching puppy classes at the clinic.
& Elvis
Stephanie is a 2014 graduate of the Algonquin College Veterinary Technician Program. Her favourite part of being a veterinary technician is surgical nursing and, as you might have guessed, the puppies! In her spare time she enjoys baking, fitness, and spending time with her family - which now includes six laying hens.
& Dexter
Chelsea graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family.
& Skribbles
Ashlee graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Seneca College in May 2019. Since then she has worked in both large and small animal medicine. She grew up in Etobicoke and moved to the area with her fiancé Cole. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family, dog Skribbles and her sheep.
& Toxie
Tayler started with the clinic in October 2014. She is our office manager, head receptionist and often the first person you meet upon arriving at the clinic. She has a lifelong passion for animals and agriculture, and enjoys horseback riding and antique tractors.
& Wyatt
Katelyn recently moved back home to the Ottawa area from Dryden where she worked as an Optometric Assistant. Katelyn's experience in working at dog daycares and raising her own dogs, chickens, ducks, cats, and rats shows her love of animals and led her to a receptionist position here. Outside of work Katelyn's pastimes include cross-stitching, fishing, tending to her over 50 houseplants and spending quality time with her husband and son.
& Asha
Stacee grew up in the Ottawa Valley area. As a young adult, she knew she had a love for animals and entered the Vet Assistant program at St. Lawrence College in Kingston ON, graduating in 2007. Stacee is our resident groomer and is excited to share her love of grooming. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, including her cat.
& Minion
Cassandra graduated from Seneca College in 2017 and moved to the Ottawa area with her husband. She has been working in the animal field since 2013. She has a passion for large and small animals but has a very special love for cats of which she has six. Cass also has dog and a hobby farm that keep her busy outside of work.
Cass is currently on maternity leave with her new son!
& Eleanor
Jenna graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at St.Lawrence College. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program. Growing up in Winchester, she developed a love for animals, both small and large. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, spending time with family and travelling. Her young family keeps her busy, including her three cats, two adolescent dogs and young child.
& Colt
Jennifer is completing her final year of the Veterinary Technician program at Algonquin College. After completing a degree in Biology at Trent University, her love of animals brought her to the veterinary world. When Jennifer isn’t working she enjoys hiking in forests, with her dog Colt, reading, or finding new recipes to try out.
& Chase
Venessa graduated in 2016 from Boreal College. She is originally from the small town of St. Albert. Venessa previously worked on a dairy farm and at a boarding kennel. Outside of work her son and puppy keep her busy. She loves spending time with her little family going for walks in the woods and four-wheeling.
& Nala
Laura always knew she loved animals and working with them from spending all her high school years working at local horse farms and on her family's beef farm. She graduated from the veterinary assistant program in 2006 from Stratford Career Institute. In her spare time she loves spending time outdoors on her hobby farm, competing in endurance races on her horses and camping with her family.
